Hello, My husband and I are fairly new to the janitorial business and we were hoping someone could help us. We were just asked to bid on a daycare to stip, wax and buff their tile floors every Friday that totals 1,700 sq ft. We figured 20 cents per square foot which came to about $350.00. Do we charge this at each cleaning or per month? and is this a reasonable price? Thanks for your help. Julian & Cynthia

I’m not sure if I got this, but the price for strip and wax is a bit low for this area, I would do it for .25 maybe .30 however if you getting a good floor finish for a good price and the floors are in good condition than don’t mind me. Charge it as an extra every time you strip and wax, or you can incorporate in the contract.  For buffing charge 40 a month since this is a small area.
