    Basement cement floor

I have a customer  who would be interested in painting or applying some floor finish  to make it look more presentable.  The area is about 1700 sq ft does not get much traffic virtually none.  Any ideas how to charge for this kind of project. Currently the floor is free on any paint or floor finish. The floor is not as smooth as you see at home depo.  Please point me in the correct direction, here or you can call me <<moderator cut:  Please PM the author for contact info>> let’s talk. I'm in Ohio I'm up till 2am

     Hi Chris,

Sorry for the modification...I am not sure if you are giving out a published business line or not.  if you want to put your business phone in your signature, you may.  (if you need assistance in setting this up, let me know).

Otherwise, please direct anyone willing to call your home by giving the number via the PM system.  Thanks!

I am not sure how to answer your question about the concrete.  Hopefully one of the floor specialists can help.  Good luck!

Internet Safety:  101   Just looking out for our members. Nothing personal!

Phone numbers for your business are fine.  Home phone numbers - not a good idea - and will be removed from the public eye.

Since this is a business-related board, feel free to add your business line in this thread or in your signature.  Or, pass your home number privately via the PM system to whomever you wish.  You can control who gets it that way, and it keeps the whackos from getting your personal information willy nilly.  You'd be surprised what someone with ill intentions can do with a simple home number.

     I appreciate it.

    Re: Basement cement floor

We used an epoxy product from Home depot to do our garage & a restroom/hallway in our basement.  We also used this product to do a large garage area at an office that we rented.  Easy to use & turned out great.  You apply a cement etcher, scrub, rinse, let dry for 24 hours, & then paint.  You have the option of adding decorative flakes, black which do look nice.

If a client asked us to do it for them, I would charge them for the chemical & then an hourly rate.
