    a little confused...

I have been doing residential cleaning and it is going very well right now and I am comfortable with letting it idle a little while. My initial goal was to do New Construction but I wanted to get to know the cleaning bus. a little first.
I am planning to charge .14cents per sq. ft. as that seems to be just in the middle of what is being paid in my area. I am confused however on how you charge for rough and final.
    Example 1500 sq ft house = $210.00
Do I charge them $210.00 twice or how does that work?
How do I know if a house needs both?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no clue!

You need to speak with the builders and see how they want the work done. The ones in my area have no desire to have a rough and then final clean done. They just want a one time complete clean at the end of the construction process. You need to hit the street and speak with the builders.

I would bet that you probably will not find many builders that want a rough and final. They may want you to do a touchup just before closing but that can be a by the hour charge if necessary. Don't forget to go with a three hour min charge for coming back out to do the touchup.

If you have not done construction cleaning yet, windows will be your biggest learning curve. It takes about 40 to 50% of the labor for a job to do the windows and frames.

I charge .17 sqft and 125 for a touch-up no matter if it takes my company 2 hrs or 15 mins. it really becaomes better for both of the us.
